Netgear EXS27 Firmware Guide

Monitor your device's Power and System LEDs during the upgrade process. Keep the device plugged in and connected via Ethernet or stable WiFi until the reboot cycle finishes.

Solid Power LED Stable Network Do Not Unplug

Regular firmware updates keep the EXS27 secure, fast, and stable. Follow these steps to ensure your device is running the latest software.

Update via Nighthawk App

  1. Open the Nighthawk app and select your EXS27.
  2. Look for Firmware Update or Check for Updates.
  3. If an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it.

Update via Browser

  1. Connect a device to the EXS27’s Wi-Fi.
  2. Go to http://mywifiext.net or 192.168.1.250.
  3. Log in and navigate to the Administration or Firmware Update section.
  4. Check for updates and apply them if available.

Important Safety Note: Do not unplug or restart the extender while a firmware update is in progress. Wait patiently until the process completes, the device reboots, and the LEDs stabilize.
